Minimalist warmth

Susan & Julian, London
Wedding, September 29th, 2018 – 75 guests

Susan & Julian are a couple that wanted a very intimate wedding with just their closest family and friends. For this they choose to celebrate it the wonderful Castell de Sant Marçal located in the outskirts of Barcelona with a garden ceremony and dinner & dancing in the interior hall.

For the ceremony the set up was made with white chairs and white carpet for the wedding aisle, on each side of the aisle a garland was placed with flowers and greens for a very natural look.

Because it was an small and intimate wedding celebrated in a very big space we had the challenge of achieving that the space chosen for the dinner didn’t look empty and was proportional to the quantity of guests. For this, we decided to visually partition the space, creating a dinner area combining a large table with round tables, a dance area in the middle with a DJ booth in the side and a chill-out zone with 3 groups of furniture in the entrance of the hall.

In terms of decorations, the bride & groom wanted a warm, elegant and minimalistic look with decorations in white, greens and stone with silver touches.

We proposed to place high centerpieces with lots of volume in the round tables so the guests had the sensation of dinner under the trees and visually achieve that the space didn’t look empty.

Behind the bridal table we placed a lights curtain to add a lot of warmth to the place and make of this a very warm, elegant but minimalistic wedding.
