For the Brazilian, Clara and José, from Galicia, a private country estate was used for both the ceremony and the reception. Having an exclusive location and tight security for the event were of paramount importance as the maid of honor, Clara’s childhood friend, also happened to be a well-known American actress.
The mosaics, from Rio de Janeiro, along with the Catalan “trencadis” (Modernist ceramic compositions) and the black, white and silver color scheme chosen by the Bride and Groom, set the tone for the entire celebration. From the “Save the date” notices and the invitations, to the card menus and table numbers, including the candles used for the aperitif and the seating chart; every detail exuded clarity, harmony and elegance.
The tables were adorned with one-of-a-kind center-pieces featuring White Mountain Saxifrage in a Dry Martini style glass and various bowls and jars arranged around it combining hydrangeas and candles. Another design detail were the identical black bows on both the wedding dress
(Vera Wang-New York) and the American-style wedding cake. The entire candy buffet was designed in black, white and silver, the wedding colors.
